ORIGINALS:
All of my paintings are completed with transparent watercolors, through the blending of three primary colors on 100% cotton rag paper. Instead of using a white paint (or gauche), I leave the white of the paper untouched to communicate light. Water is used to lighten each hue and to move colors in flowing directions. Unless requested otherwise, I hand-tear the edges of my paintings, mat them with acid free boards and then cut museum glass for my select Italian mouldings. It’s a labor of love from start to finish!

COMMISSIONED WORKS:
Lately I have realized that some of the my most rewarding work has been painting for a specific person or family, to celebrate someone they love, a life-event or a special place. If you would like to commission a painting, the first step is to begin a conversation with me about ideas and inspirations. I often work from photographs, but love to travel to meet my subjects (human, animal, mountain… whatever) and will ask you about your preferences in style, color, mood, size, etc. so that we can make a plan together.
Giclées and custom cards can be requested, as printed from commissioned paintings.
Commisisoned works start at $600; framing included. Prints and cards can be made from commissioned pieces, to be given as gifts. Payment plans are available and I often do not charge until the work is approved. Plenty of samples and references are available.
